Morocco Says Its Territorial Integrity Cannot Be Subject To Outbidding

Morocco’s territorial integrity can in no way be subject to outbidding, foreign minister Saad Dine El Otmani said on Thursday in London.

Morocco is convinced that its rights, its sovereignty and its territorial integrity can in no way be subject to outbidding, El Otmani told MAP on the sidelines of his visit to London.

The Kingdom defends and will continue to strongly defend this clear position, he stressed.

The minister insisted that Morocco has entered into talks on this issue based on its attachment to the principle of good faith, and in keeping with its willingness to find a solution to the artificial conflict over its territorial integrity.

“We have shown a high degree of good faith since the launch of talks” and the autonomy initiative presented by Morocco to end this issue remains the best solution to the Sahara conflict, he said.
